Welcome to the forum Crystal,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I know you've already found your way to the S-Type forum with this issue so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. This will appaear automatically from your next post.

You can also visit the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

With the ignition in the OFF position for at least ten minutes, read the battery voltage across the terminals. It should be a minimum of 12.5 volts, if not, the battery may need to be replaced.

Welcome to the forum.
New batteries can fail, I had the new one in my Jeep replaced twice in the 12 month warranty period because of a faulty cell.

Welcome.

I agree, NEW does not always mean OK. It should, I know, but sadly not the case.

Then, if something in the car is draining that battery,, no amount of "newness" is going to fix that.

As mentioned, the Stickies at the top of the S Type section have a battery drain thread included, and the steps to find and fix that issue.

Good luck.
