2001 Japanese XJ import: BCU needed
Greetings all
I own a beautiful 2001 Japanese import XJ Executive which runs like a dream. However the BCU is now causing me problems and needs replacing. While I would love to keep the car running, but finding a replacement BCU is not easy.
Reluctantly I have decided to replace the car with a new XF. Selling an imported XJ through an auction is, I am told, not possible. Does anyone have any ideas on how I may be able to sell the car - other than through Autotrader where it is on sale for £1000 at the moment?

Welcome to the forum Eric,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I had a look at the advertisment. MoT due today - is that right?
Selling Jaguars is never easy and they need all the positives of service history, long MoT and no major faults. It does appear that ebay is more successful than Autotrader for older models. Several of similar age to yours listed at the moment are attracting bids.
Follow this link XJ XJ8 / XJR ( X308 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. Follow this link XF (X260) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X260 forum for the current XF.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link UK & Eire - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
