Default 2002 S-Type 4.0 My Wife Loves

My wife love this car (especially since it was a present from me) and I love it also. So it stays until it dies completely.

Two main items I am dealing with are:
1. dropping into failsafe mode w/ ODB code pointing to replacing the throttle body assembly.
2. need a source to replace / repair the leather seats.

Any help would be great.

Welcome!

Can you post what code(s) you are getting for confirmation? Many generic codes have different meaning on Jaguars.

Welcome.

To give you some responses to your questions:

1) Moisture seeping into the throttle body harness (after raining - through the cowl assembly) might be the cause of this issue. Look this issue up on the forum through the search function. Type "cowl fix" - you will find some DIY methods to fix water intrusion into the engine bay.

2) Look for a local upholstery company. Ebay is another option. If you have black leather interior - I have a spare set of front seats I would be willing to part with. (Just came across them the other day when organizing my Jaguar stock pile of spare parts - seats are good)

Hope this info helps.

My apologies for the late response. I appreciate all of the welcome response from each of you.

The code I am getting is 1584. At this point the car never gets out of the failsafe mode.

The code is P1584?

The Jaguar DTC Listing for S-Type 2003MY goes direct from P1582 to P1603 with nothing between those codes.
