2002 X-type 2.5 manual Trans Cranks but no Start.
Hi there new member here my name is Adam from Wyoming.
Car is 02 x type 2.5 170k miles. Just got the car and po said drove to work then when she got off the car wouldn't start. Ford dealership says it jumped time. Pecus error e and p1637 and dsc failure are codes. Tried starting fluid no luck. Going to try to check compression after work. Do these cars have timing issues? It doesn't seem right that it would jump time trying to start it after it ran fine.
Anyways thanks and nice to meet y'all

Welcome to the forums Adam,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum with this issue so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Central Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-central-36/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
