2002 x type won't start

Welcome to the forum Carznguitarz,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. I can't find Jaggz4me in the active or inactive member lists. Typo perhaps?
Battery leads breaking up at the junction box terminals are a reported issue on X-Type which can give the issue you describe.
As a former member, you'll probably know your way around here but if not, follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Thanks for the response,
It appears that it most certainly would be a contact type failure, since it starts, with a jump, but is very "intermittent" for the last day. I'm heading to get electrical contact grease and get these contacts in tip/top. I had it the back of my head but didn't wan't to believe this really clean "looking" contact areas might not be good enough.
I'll be frequenting this forum I'm sure.
Thanks again.
