Default 2003 Jaguar XJR silent turn signal clicker

The sound only works when the car sits in the sun with the windows up and then only until it cools off. Same with the chime which warns that the headlights are left on.

Welcome to the forum gwsmith147,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you have posted this same question in the X350 tech forum and must presume you have the aluminium bodied XJ8 produced from 2003 and not the earlier steel bodied XJ8 which was also produced up to 2003?

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Mid West Region forum by following this link USA Mid West - IL IN IA MI MN MO OH WI - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

It does sound like something is heat sensitive, doesn't it.
Someone will be along soon to direct you to the proper section where you can find help.

Thanks GGG for the info....I'm new to this forum. The XJ8 is a steel body purchased in the US used in 2009. My first Jag was a 1998 XJ8 but was lost in an accident. I bought the 2003 as it was the last of that body style.

I've moved your other thread from X350 to X308 tech forum. Here's a direct link to it:

Got to love Jaguar model names - 4 different models badged as XJ6 and two different ones as XJ8!
