Default 2003 Jaguar XK8 180,000 miles !!!

I just joined this forum becuase I just purchased a 2003 Jaguar XK8 convertible with 180,000 miles on it.I have not seen anyone on this site with a car with that many miles nor even close to it. I bought the 2003 because of the metal timing chain, tensioners, rails, and the newer 4.2 engine. One Jaguar mechanic said if possible go with that. It was all I could afford. Now.... the question how many miles do you think I have left ?

I believe there are a few members with higher mileage XK's than you and with proper maintenance/upkeep and regular driving I think you will be fine.

for XK8 specific info - check out the XK8/XKR section -paying particular attention to the How To's and DIY stickies.

Welcome to the forum Cosmo2020,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

There's plenty of miles ahead for you given the appropriate maintenance.

Follow Steve's link in post #2 to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome to the forum. I know there are some members with more miles than that on here, so you should go quite a ways yet
