2004 XJ8 - helping my uncle
Hi,
I am helping my uncle with a starting issue. He drives a 2004 XJ8 located in NYC / Upstate area.
I am mechanically inclined and willing to tackle this issue since it seems the dealerships may be yanking his chain or they are really bad mechanics.
I've done 2 clutch jobs in a CJ7 and Ranger. redone entire brake systems, flaring own lines, to rebuilding single cylinder dirtbike engines from bottom end seals and bearings to top end and valves. Have tackled some electrical issues but thankfully none were too hard.
Just looking for some help in the XJ8 forum.
thanks!

Hello,
To work on a Jaguar, Any Jaguar, you only need patience and a willingness to learn, because the way some things are done will make you shake your head.
It seems you have those requirements.
Someone will be along shortly to direct you to our Xj8 section where you can find all the help and advice you need to help your uncle; which I think it's Way Cool of you to help out like this.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Xj8king,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I saw your 'Reported Post' and have moved your other thread from X308 to X350 forum. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x350-x358-28/ to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
