2004 xtype 2.5awd error code p1647 heated oxygen sensor control module bank 1 open /
Hi all. Hoping you can help.
I have a 2004 xtype 2.5awd throwing error code p1646 heated oxygen sensor control module bank 1 open / shorted
had a guy replace 2 sensors already but they appear to be the easy to get to ones on each bank.
Is this code indicating I now need to change the one at the back of the engine against the firewall and have to remove the manifold and do a contortionist act to get the swine out or is it indicating a dodgy relay or a module somewhere needs changing.
any help is appreciated as I'm on the verge of having to cut my losses and scrap the car which I really dont want to.
Thanks.

Hello,
Don't despair quite yet.
Many of us have been where you are, Consumed by frustration, anger and disappointment and Rage, to the point we want to stuff rags in the gas tank, light it off! ans walk away.
But then someone on one of these forums gives an answer, a solution or a trick we didn't know, and although sometimes it's not an easy thing, at least we Know the problem CAN be addressed and there's hope after all.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
