2005 xj8l leaking coolant
Hi my fellow jag owners:
I am a new Jaguar owner.
I love my car but I am having a problem with it leaking coolant. I first noticed the smell of burnt antifreeze so I knew I had a problem. The car has never ran hot with me, however, I am not the original owner, I have had it for two years. It has 120,00 miles on it.
I have replaced the water pump and thermostat housing (which i was shocked that it was plastic) last week and today I had to add about 8 ozs of coolant.
The leak is coming from the middle of the car.
Has anyone else had this problem? I do not want to keep replacing parts if they are not needed.
Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch

Welcome to the forum Sexy Cat,
You're right to be very cautious about overheating a Jaguar V8.
Follow this link XJ ( X350 & X358 ) XJ6 / XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X350 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You may also like to visit the US Lower Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/l...c-sc-fl-ga-66/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forum.
