Hello All,

I am so glad I found this Forum. I am a Female, 42 yr old, 1st time Jag owner (2006 S-Type 4.2L V8), and as of 06/03/13, located mid-way between New Orleans, LA and Baton Rouge, LA). I have Loved Jaguars since my teen years in the 90's when I saw the Hunter Green w/Tan Interior (XJ '92/X300/X308). A 1980's XJ40 was almost my 1st car, but the concern over repair costs nipped that in the bud. So, owning a Jaguar has ever since, been my "dream car". Well, it so happens that this time, the timing was right, and so was the pricing, so now I finally own my dream vehicle a Jag! *Smiles*
Having only ever owned 4 Cylinder Vehicles, my new/used Jag's V8 Engine is a true Joy & Pleasure to drive -- once I got used to its Fabulous Get Up & GO!!..
Plus, on sunny days -- Thankfully LA has an abundance of them-- I love opening the sunroof & Driver window, cranking the radio high & jamming as I drive down the highway *laughs*

The one concern I have had & a major contributing factor why I am so glad to have found this Forum, is the Expensive Repair Cost Issue. I am so glad that I now have a resource of other owners & experts with whom I can discuss any topic or issue that arises. Thank you all in advance for sharing your wealth of time, knowledge, experience, and most importantly to me, your Jaguar Passion!! *SMILES*

Welcome! I know what you mean about the feeling of owning a Jaguar! I have a very similar car to yours: a 2005 S-type 4.2 VDP. My first Jag.
