Default 2007 xjr 10k miles

Hello everyone, I'm new and kinda naive about Jags. I did own a 1999 xjr = money pit! lol
I have a chance to buy a 2007 xjr. Silver black interior. The owner says it only has 10k miles on it but it has a rebuilt title.
The problem with the car is nearly all dash lights are lit, it goes only into limp mode and the airbags will not inflate.
I wonder if this is a electrical problem (bad connection) or ecm problem? or?
The question is anyone thinks it's a good deal? Should I walk away from it? Would this be an insurance lost, for the rebuilt title? He doesn't know since there is no damage to the car.
The owner says he bought it this way with the intention of fixing it but has not touched it since he bought it.
I just need an opinion on this and maybe a solution if anyone knows of one.
Oh the price $4500 obo.

Welcome to the forum gr9945,

If you can do the work yourself, it's possibly worth the gamble. If you can't, it will cost a lot more to repair than finding a perfect example.

I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum with this question so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Well let me just say this as a shop owner and Jaguar owner, and just to share some information with you....First, if the car has a rebuilt title then it had some mechanical issues that would prohibit it from being road worthy from either a accident or force of nature incident. If you buy it, then I think you need to understand that if in fact you decide to sell it, you may or may not be able to get rid of it due to it having such a title. Also at such a low price I am willing to bet that it has some underlying issues...I have inspected used cars for clients that look absolutely spotless....ex. Had a 2015 RR SPORT SUPERCHARGED came to my shop...had 23k miles, one owner, new brakes, tires, rotors, perfect paint, all electronics passed, scanned her with SDD, inspected under body, checked belts, hoses, fluids, even brake fluid moisture test, filtered the oil from oil filter housing and checked it for shavings from main bearings, and much much more. Actuated the wipers, windows, sunroof, air suspension, rear hardware, seats, lighting, and I mean we go through them with a fine tooth comb...and the LAST test is to remove the running board kick panels to check below the carpet for leaks, or flooding...and what do you know???she had over a half inch of standing water, in which you could feel this from surface touch due to the thickness of the padding...I would advise you to have her checked I mean REALLY have it checked...

Rebuilt title or savaged titles can be bad experiences for some , but it is a roll the dice move for any purchaser, it is a chance you take, you must just ask yourself is this a 4500.00 chance I am willing to take?4500.00 can turn into 14500.00, or maybe not...all in all I think the 2007 xjr is a gorgeous car, and to me , just me I think the old 4.2 is a better engine than all the aj33 series 5.0 and 3.0 engines.. I have seem several come into my shop with 208k, 216k, and the most was 239k and still running extremely well.. Either way you go at leas your in the right spot for sound advice..Good luck..
