2009 XJ8L indigo blue metallic
hello to everyone on the forum.
this is my fourth Jag with several cars in between. started with an 86, then 94 and 2006--all XJ6.
bought this 2009 XJ8L 3 years ago on eBay and Lucille is one fine beauty.
traveled 5 hours from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia to get it because I wanted the older curvy style and this was the last year for it. the only thing I don't like about it is the extra-long carriage. sometimes that makes a difference on parts but also cutting corners.
I've visited this forum researching issues several times and find it very helpful. this love affair with Jags is costly whether it's because you buy new or because you buy old with repairs. finding a good Jag mechanic you can trust isn't easy. I had one and he left to go into real estate. my local mechanic isn't a fan of Jags or anything with complicated systems so he sends me away if it's more than routine maintenance (and he's trying to retire).
and pls excuse if I don't follow protocol but not because I don't try--just new.
that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Welcome to the forum Melby,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
