Default 2016 Jaguar XK AWD

Hi everyone

After 25 years of MBs and BMWs I bought my FIRST Jaguar yesterday, a 2016 Jaguar XK AWD fully loaded in Tenerite Grey Metallic with light Oyster leather interior.
The 340HP 8 speed drivetrain works very well. I did find that the ECO mode, while good around town was a real DOG on the highway and the car was sluggish and kind of struggling compared to the COMFORT mode. I haven't used the Sport etc yet. Anyone have the same or similar experience with ECO. Otherwise, it is a great handling car and very fast--better than my previous 2011 BMW528i with 6 cyl/8spd

Welcome to the forum!

I'm guessing you have an XJ, and it's a typo since J and K are right next to each other on a keyboard...?

Welcome to the forum BCJAG,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I assume that's a typo for XJ - the four door AWD saloon?

If so, follow this link XJ ( X351 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X351 forum for help, advice and information.

No. It IS a 2016 Jaguar XK AWD. It is a fairly new model. The 2015 was the first I believe and now ours and the 2017 will be essentially the same with another pricey package I don't need. Cheers

Thanks. I got the car two days ago and I am still into reading the manual. I didn't like the ECO on the highway but in town it was ok. I certainly will try out the Sport Mode and if I don't--my son will gladly do it for me! cheers

The Jaguar XK is a two door Coupe (like mine) or Convertible and ceased production in 2014. It was never available in AWD.

The current Jaguar range includes XF and XJ (both four door saloons) which are available in AWD.

Thanks very much Graham. I apologize to everyone. For some reason I thought my XF/XF AWD model was an XK. Beautiful car just received two days ago. I did not like the ECO mode on the highway. The car seemed to struggle and drove like a Toyota Corolla(good car btw). I went back to NORMAL. Faster modes will most likely be not needed by me. I just loved the car compared to my last two BMWs, good in their owns way but not this good.
cheers

Jaguar naming is chaotic and confusing. They produced four different models between 1968 and 2009 which were all badged as XJ6!

The factory, dealers and the forum use the factory model codes to simplify this. My XK is an X150, your XF is an X260.
