#4 Southern Jaguar
I'm a Southern Jaguar owner from deep South Louisiana where wild jaguars can still be found roaming and growling in the swamps. I recently purchased my 4th Jaguar. A 2007 X-Type, 3.0, AWD. I started in the 1995 with a '84 , then a few years later a '86 Vanden Plaz, then later pick up a '85. I lost those 3 in 2005 due to Hurricane Katreena. I found a good price on the 2007 Jaguar, unfortuanately, a few days ago it stopped on me on the Interstate Hwg. I had driven about 15 miles doing 70 mph when I felt a slight shifting in the drivetrain. Then it stopped pulling. I pulled over to the shoulder and it would not move in forward or reverse. I had it towed home. Once jacked up, I could turn all the wheels by hand. But once I started it and attempted to shift into gears, it would not engage the transfer case or either transmission. Even when in park, the car could still roll. While the engine is running and shifting from drive back to park, I could hear a clicking sound before it moved into park. In ideas of what happened?
