Default 92 Sovereign 83K miles...

Just bought a 92 Sovereign with 83K on the dial that had been in storage for more than a year (half a tank of gas left in the tank when I got it. Am beginning to learn Jaguar think & it scares me a little. This coming from a Vietnam combat veteran with a Bronze Star, Purple Heart, & 21 Air Medals...
(Plus three times married & four times divorced)... I have lived in the Ivins, Utah area (St George corner of Utah) for the past 31 years. I am proceeding slowly with the Sovereign dreading pulling the fuel tank & can't figure out how to remove the driver side door panel (driver side window won't activate & the right hand passenger side rear window goes down; but, not back up), & think maybe a service repair manual might help speed things along... & that's about it from this new guy. Greetings & happy trails to all road runners... John

John, don't dismay, there is a solution to almost every problem you encounter with your car. After all that you've been through a little kitty shouldn't scare you.

She's merely been neglected, abandoned even and needs reassurance. Think of it as a year in Solitary Confinement. It'll take time to get her right but when that happens, she'll be yours forever.

There are many people here who will gladly assist you with everything.
Welcome from ElinorB.

Hi John,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service! If you will repost your questions in the XJ40 forum, we'll be glad to try to help. The moderators ask that we not answer technical questions in the New Member area since only (mostly) new members will see and benefit from the replies.

I'll see you in the XJ40 forum!

Cheers,

Don

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Welcome John ... and greetings from a fellow enthusiast in Australia.

The (0s Sovereign is a grand drive, and like others, I encourage you to jump into the model specific section where there is plenty to read and absorb ... also, to visit the regional section shared by other members in your area ... and finally, to add your car details to your signature as a permanent flag to enable other members to offer accurate advice ... from Main Menu, click <User CP> then <Edit Signature>.

All that remains is to dive into the forum ... and enjoy!

Best wishes,
Ken

Welcome to the forum John,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow Norri's link in post #5 to the XJ40 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
