Hello everyone my name is Chris and I wanted to join everyone for some info on my jag. I am a new owner of jaguar and I can say I will never go to another brand now. I have recently purchased a beautiful 97 xj6 and do cheap I was afraid but I have had to do very little work on the car. My next little task is a new gas cap as it has started turning my check engine light on because it's loose however today when I started her up I got a loud beeping roughly 5 or so times then turned off. I have never had this happen so I am stuck on what the issue could be. Thank you all so much and I'm glad to be on here.

Probably a typo, but that car is an Inline 6 (I6), not a V6, just so confusion stays out of any posts.

No idea on that beeping, never heard it on any of mine.

Could the beeping be Parking sensor fault warning.
Usually 3 second beeps.
