ac/htr fan made noise
I need to tell me if you have ever been told this aftr a repair. My 2007 XK convertible had a noise and eventually failed. I took it to my dealer to get fixed. 900.00 later it was "fixed" but it had very little air flow when at maximum power. I took it back to the dealer to show him the issue. He told me that they put an OEM part in it but the only available part was from a new XK and since they have a smaller cockpit it did not require as much airflow. Now finally my question how is this correct????

From looking around the parts catalogs and vendors web sites I would say the problem isn't the blower motor but the installation. The same part number is used across all XK" and strangely enough they are used in the XJ's also. The XJ has a sizable passenger compartment.
The installer has accidentally disturb a blend door connection, electrical connection or the fan is defective. It should be capable of multi-speeds.
