I'm a newbie here as well as a newbie Jaguar owner. To begin with I checked out the reviews of this vehicle thoroughly before purchasing it and it was given rave reviews.
I purchased a 2003 Jaguar X-Type 2.5L Auto 4 Dr. Sedan from an auction one week ago, I have purchased many cars from auction in the past.
My main concern is the repair costs for this beast!! I can't even find LUG NUTS in my area to fit, I have to buy them online.

I've found a few mechanics in my area that work on Jaguars but I imagine it's still quite expensive. Don't get me wrong I realized this when I bought it but I was just doing a price comparison on a cool site and the Jaguar was 2 - almost 3 times as much on various repairs than other vehicles. Not as much as I expected.
Any advice would be appreciated in this area!!

Thanks from Northeast Ohio!!

Too late for my advice. I would have told you not to buy one unless you are either very rich or very talented and like to work on them allot. Mine is going to be gone in a few weeks. They are beautiful to look at but I really don't trust my Jag at all if I am planning a trip. The old Corvette ain't as pretty but has never let me down.

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.
One other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
Also, should you have questions related to your vehicle please post it in the section for your model year (MY) car. This way you will reach all the members that are familiar with your MY car.
