Alloygators fitted to low profile tyres
Last year I splashed out on a set of rim protectors for my 2011 XJL, as a few months before I had all the wheels refurbished. Yesterday whilst driving there was a loud banging noise and at first, I thought it was engine problems. Then I could see that the front Alloygator had come off the rim where the join is and half of it was hitting the front edge of the wing. I had to hacksaw it off. Fortunately, the scratches were not deep and I have polished them out. I shall now have them removed. Has anyone else had problems with rim protectors at all? Are they suitable for low profile tyres?

Welcome to the forum oldrover,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
If they were fitted by one of AlloyGator's recommended fitters, I'd be wasting no time in going back to express "disappointment". That could have done some serious damage.
