Default Aloha from hawaii

Hi, tony ponce' jr. Here. Just acquired a 1998 xj8 4.0 liter v8. This is my second jaguar. My first was a 1984 gold xj6 vanden plas. Jaguars have always been my dream ride. So i'm very fortunate to have this newer one. It has about 119,000 miles on the odometer. On a scale of i to 10, i would say this automobile is an 8. I'm trying to learn as much as i can to maintain this beautiful automobile. I seek your knowledge in this endeavor. Mahalo, tony

Welcome to the forum Tony,

Congratulations on the XJ8.

Follow this link XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues. With an early V8, look out for information on tensioners and cooling system. These are the two biggest problem issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Western Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.
