Default Aloha Series 1

Hi,
Great forum ,thanks.
Just got new to me 1973 Series 1. Randomly discovered on Craigslist in Denver & shipped to Honolulu.
Receipts from 1997 for allot of maintenance. Spent last few months with Ted at Jaguar Denver specialist to get power steering rack, lights, radiator etc.
Pleasantly surprised how awesome it drives. Just need to figure out the ac.

Welcome back to the forums minder,

Six years on the the XJS:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...usness-127294/

I had a Series I XJ12 in that unusual colour. Fantastic car but the V12 rarely got above 10 mpg and I went back to a 4.2 after a few months.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-i-ii-iii-16/ to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Default New owner Series 1

I now own this exact car now. Purchased from who minder sold it too. Good to know it's mileage on arrival. It currently has 109,000 original miles. Would be nice to know if the timing chain was replaced by minder before it was sold or any other info. It appears that someone tried to steal it once as the ignition and the driver door has damage as if prying was done.

Welcome to the forums Brian,

minder was last on the forums more than two years ago but could respond to a PM (Private Message) once you have sufficient posts to send one.
