Hi everyone!
I am an American Lady in Dubai. I have been here for two years painfully stuck in a company rental! My whole life in the States in relation to cars was always brand new and with a hefty monthly payment.

Well recently I turned over a new leaf, I actually saved up for a car and paid in full for a luxurious '06 Jaguar XJ8 Sovereign in Slate Metallic!
Not sure if I more proud of the deal on this sexy classy baby or the fact that I saved up and paid in full! LOL

I negotiated with the help of Hubby to get the seller down to 10k even. Mechanically it's excellent and the previous owner is a car enthusiast from Germany, owns about 5 cars and this was his wife's. The interior has minor wear tear is in almost shown room quality.

But, Like always with a preowned you have some fix-er-uppers! So that's why I joined here and am currently researching all of my projects...

The one that is most important is the Music! I heart my iPod/iphone interface from my previous car state-side and am wondering how to get this 2006 up to date with my music needs.

Anyways glad to be here and oh so happy with this iconic Jaguar!

Follow Steve's link to the X350 tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thank you both for the welcme, I am knee deep in research!

I think I found my answer, the ACM info on the iPod module inside the glove compartment is a solution, but now I have to visit Jaguar service to see if they will do this installation if part is provided... Fingures crossed it can be done by Official Jag and not an after market!!!

Jaguar owners are not the majority over here. Which is all the more reason I love having one. Usually Jag owners seem so proper with care of car etc.

This is the land of RR, Bentley and Ferrari ..... With clueless drivers who NEVER service. Simply toss after 3 yrs, Not all, but a lot are car abusive.
