Default Another Canuck! Newbie from Toronto

Hi everyone.
Looks like I just bought myself a 1998 XJR. Man is it ever pretty. Been well looked after from what I can see. The deal is pending a mechanical inspection. If all goes well, I should be driving by the weekend!
Thanks for a great forum. Having lots of fun here already.
Erik

Thanks guys!

Been reading like crazy around here over the last couple of days. Jag ownership does not seem quite as horrifying a proposition as I had thought. I have som experience with Jags, but they were older - a 1987 XJ6 and a 1988 XJS. Did a little wheel time in a 2002 X type 2.5 also. Things seem to have improved a lot since the 80's!

I do appreciate the warm welcome and I hope I can contribute to the growth of this wonderful forum you all have here. Without it, I would certainly not be considering Jaguar ownership at this point.

Not QUITE purchased yet, but very close

Thankfully, the rubber on it is very good. Probably get through this year just fine. Will have to check at tire rack and see what they offer.

Wow.
Took a look at the Tire Rack. Didn't know it was that easy to spend $350 per tire at that place. Lots of cheaper options too, but wow!

Ah, the varied joys of Jaguar ownership!
