Default Another New Boy

My names Graeme, in the prime of my youth at 40 years old

Owned my X-Type for a couple of days

Needed a replacment for my Mondeo Titanium X as it was a company car and going back due to change of carear path

Wanted somthing with as many toys, but a bit more stylish.

X-Type seemed the best choice, plus I've always fancied a 'Jag'

Most expensive car I've ever bought !

Happy so far, just one niggle that's the parking sensors not working, due I suspect to one faulty sensor on the front corner.

Will speak to the dealer it came form to get that sorted hopfully.

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
So, how does it compare to the Mondeo?

Cheers

It's close on the toys level

I think it looks a lot nicer too, the Mondeo felt unfinished at the back, as if they had to rush it from the drawing board. Though having seen shots of the new 2014'ish Mondeo that does look nice.

Drive wise, it's like driving my previous 2005 Mondeo really as expected, which to be honest I prefered to the latest shaped barge.

I think it pulls better from low revs and just makes it feel more drivable.

Not done any long runs yet.

Don't think I'll miss the 6 speed gearbox, as I didn't use 6th much in the Mondeo, too tall a gear for my liking.

We'll see, but I own it now, so it's staying
