Greetings and Happy New Year! I just joined up because I just bought a beautiful Jaguar. I'm born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area and started my passion for cars at an early age during the late 60s and 70s. The car culture has been a big part of my life, in fact I have worked in the car business all of my adult life. I have owned numerous hot rods, classics, and muscle cars through the years and right now I have a custom 1955 Chevrolet Nomad. I've never owned one before but always liked the classic styling of the Jaguar. Last week I came across a gorgeous 2008 XJ8 that I couldn't resist. It was a one owner car with low miles and appeared to be well kept. It drives like a dream and it seems to attract attention everywhere I go. The only issue I have so far is the air suspension and I might need the advice of some of the experts that visit this site. I'll post a description of the problems in the appropriate forum in the next couple of days.
Thanks and I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season

Welcome. I like classic cars too and enjoy doing restoration work as a hobby. When it gets really hot in August I'll even take the XJ8 to our local monthly cruise in (my classics don't always have working A/C ) People usually seem to enjoy it, particularly as they've seen a bazillion Camaros and Mustangs and the Jaguar is something different.
