Default Back into the comfy seat. New - Old owner in New Zealand

Hi Folks,

Just being polite and saying hello before I get stuck in and getting involved in the various forums.

As per the title I have just fulfilled a long burning itch and so have bought myself a nice 1998 (X308) XJR. I have wanted one for years but either never found the right one, or it was just not the right time. So here I am!

I owned a 3.2S some years ago and loved it. But sold it on as my main area of interest is in the old Ford world. Yes I am an Escort nut!

Originally I am from the UK, but have emigrated to New Zealand and for the past 8 years have called here home.

I will post up some pics and more about myself as I go on, just thought I would say hello first!

Cheers and see you out there

Dave

Welcome to the forum Dave,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Thanks everyone. Looks like everyone is a good bunch! Nice welcome.
I have updated my signature a little already, but will fine tune it during the week and ad a small picture. My problem is I have so many cars and bikes that I cant list them all. I am a typical hoarder of old stuff!!

Cheers all

Did you take them all with you or buy them in NZ?

I actually have lived here twice! THis time around I brought four cars with me and zero bikes. I brought my TVR, a Cosworth engined 105e Anglia, Cosworth engined Mk2 Escort Mexico and my baby Mk1 Escort RS1600 BDA.
Prior to leaving I sold my four bikes and who's who's of 70s ad 80s cars, which I now deeply regret looking at the way prices have gone! I sold my RS500 for 16K pounds, they are 80k plus now...doh!! BUt I am not bitter, much...

But I bought some nice land and built a very nice house, so cant complain.

My current "hoard" I have built up here in NZ when I find something nice or a special piece of treasure. Currently sat with 16 cars, 11 bikes and 4 Scoots!
