Back In The Jaguar World After A 7 Year Gap
Howdy Gang!
Had jaguars for over 20 years (Now 8 in total) with the last 7 years Jaguar free due to life circumstances. A couple of weeks ago managed to purchase my 8th jaguar which is a 17 year old 2006 XJ8 base spec in black on black with 108K miles on it.
So, glad to say I'm happy to be back in the saddle and enjoy the time catching up in the forums and sharing my experiences while learning from you all too.
Already done a few jobs to her including replacing the alternator, battery, removing the aftermarket stereo and finding an original OEM replacement and a giving her a good claybar session. Next weekend will be replacing the thermostat and octopus tubing etc as she seems to be showing signs its on the way out. This weekend I stripped the old brittle headlamp vinyl to reveal sparkly fresh glass. This process was done while creating a youtube video on the job which was a fun bonus! Now after spending the weekend giving her another good polish she's worthy of a few pictures in the forums.
Thanks in advance, Christian & HER :0)

Passenger side Interior.
All wood seems good for 17 years old
She'll do for 17 years old and 108K miles

Welcome to the forums Christian,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Hello, Christian,
Congratulations on your Latest Jaguar!
And THAT is one Stunning specimen! Oh Yes! (Although, BLACK is my favorite anyway.)
Nuthin looks so good as a Well Cared For BLACK Jag (I freely admit my shameless bias)
As Grant mentions above, Once you get Cat Scratch Fever, you're hooked Forever.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
