Bonnet airbag on XK 2006
Hi all I have replaced the 2 front pedestrian sensors by the radiator and had them reset by the dealer but they said that the RH bonnet airbag sensor was faulty, my question is is that sensor built into the airbag so do I replace the RH airbag and how easy is it to remove, it looks fairly simple and do I disconnect the battery to do this as worried if it will go off

Pick YOUR model, as said.
Go to:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ STEEL bodied beast
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ ALLOY bodied beast.
Open the section, look at the LEFT column, and in RED, "START A NEW THREAD" away you go.
Have fun

Welcome to the forums preece230,
The PPS (Pedestrian Protection System) on European market specification XK's can be a real pain. A regular issue is failure of one or both of the two sensors behind the front bumper. You are really unluckly to have a bonnet deployment airbag fault. I'll not go into a detailed discussion here (that's one for a new thread in X150 forum) but you should always disconnect the battery before working on any airbag circuit and give the capacitors time to discharge.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk-xkr-x150-33/ to the X150 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
