Default Boston, MA - New to Forum

Hi, new to the forum. I inherited a 1986 Vanden Plas while deployed overseas a few years ago and am starting to dig into the issues with the car. It has been sitting for some time so working through all of that. Cosmetic work, A/C, some electrical, etc., etc.
I currently have a 1952 ****** M38 Army jeep that I restored and use around town. I also have a 1964 IMC Apollo - a unique car using a Buick engine, Italian built body, and specialized parts. I have some knowledge and skills but always look for advice from experienced sources. I also don't have a lot of space for my work.
I'm in the Boston, MA area.
Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the site. Post some pics of the cars (especially the Apollo) when you have the chance.

I've been poking through some of the posts and am finding lots of good info. I also participate on the WillysMJeep site for M-series military jeeps and on the Land Rover World Forum. All three of these have great set-ups so thanks for all your hard work monitoring the site, making it work, and providing a great clearing house of info.

As for the Apollo, they were made by three friends back in the early 1960s. If you look Intermeccanica and Apollo online you'll start to get the info. They were designed here in the US to compete with the European GT vehicles but using American muscle. I'm biased but I think that they are a perfect mix of the two. A Buick V8, Borg-Warner transmission, Borrani-spoke wheels, body designed in the US and built by hand by Intermeccanica in Italy - then shipped back here. Finding parts is sometimes a challenge as it's a mixed vehicle. I found on ours that the rear drums should have been a Chevy, off of a Corvette or similar vehicle. Ours are different and we have been unable to find any that fit and match. In almost 50 years, who knows what's happened to it. But it has been in our family from the beginning....
Enjoy!
