Smile Bought my first Cat ….

Hi Guys,

Took the plunge the other week and invested in my first Cat. She is a 1999 Cardinal Red 3 litre S Type that was struggling a bit but showed loads of potential. I changed the coil packs, the spark plugs, gave her a service, renewed two of the breather hoses that had been clumsily repaired and had a go at the bodywork - I clay barred, then polished her up, only to discover a load of water behind the driver's seat when it poured down, so I've been sorting the sunroof out for a few days and drying her out…

I'm getting about 24 to the gallon, she has tremendous acceleration and is real fun to drive. I'll post up a few pictures when I've finished her off…

So she's now one of the few based on the Isle of Man, a real Manx Cat as it were…….

Welcome to the forum and to the world of Cat ownership. I'm also in a bit of a minority as there aren't too many X300's here in the Irish Republic, largely due to the crazy road tax. At least it wasn't increased in the recent budget!

Enjoy your new car and the forum.

Happy motoring!
