Default Brake fluid low message

Just acquired a 2003 x-type 2.5, with 65000 miles , the dealer I bought the car from was supposed to have the "brake fluid low" message and the red ebrake light turned off, but after several attempts he now tells me his mechanics are unable to figure out how, they are not jaguar mechanics, any suggestions for a DIY fix would be greatly appreciated

Hello, John,
We read such things sometimes in here; a seemingly simple issue is beyond non-Jaguar mechanics.

Doubtless someone over in our X-type section will be able to help you with your brake indicator problem.

Welcome from ElinorB.
