I say nobody seems to answer this question. Original clock was perfect then began to run fast and sometime slow. I bout another one and it acts the same way, so there must be a system issue not the clock.
I have heard a hard reset might cure this (?)
Any ideas

Welcome to the forum mishactoyn,
Of the many things a Hard Reset does affect, I would not expect it to have any influence on accuracy of the analogue clock.
Follow Steve's link to the X308 tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forum.

At one time analog electric car clocks were built with self adjusting regulators.
Repeated adjustments forward would cause the regulator to shift faster and vice versa.
On that type of clock, habitually over running the adjustment and then reversing will have the effect of negating the self adjusting regulator mechanism.
