Hello! New to this forum and enjoying the postings I have read. I'm very interested in E Types and so glad to see that the SII Jaguar E Type is not considered a E Type from another planet on this site! I cannot understand the unappreciation of the SII and SIII cars by the SI purist.
The SI cars have become way to expensive even for candidates for full restorations. I was shown a '66 SI car still owned by the original purchaser's family having only received 1 body on paint job because the paint had faded so badly. Still has original interior (worn as you can imagine) for a "tad" over $100k!!!
I'm still looking and have now gained a great appreciation for the SII cars! Even nice driver cars with refreshed interiors are creeping toward the $90 - $100k figure.
Glad to be here and hope to be in a E Type sometime soon! Thanks for letting me join the group!

Welcome to the forums 1L-Loyd,

You post was automatically locked for moderation because the prices mentioned triggered it as a "For Sale" advertisement. I've unlocked it.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/e-type-xk-e-59/ to the E-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-mid-atlantic-65/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums and good luck in the search for your E-Type.

Graham

Hello,
We have members in here who would give Body Parts for an E-type! I wish you success in your quest.

Default Corrected Introduction!

First....My apologies to all for failing to follow the required format with my first intro! Promise I'll be better in the future!
I'm Lawrence Loyd, I am a proud American, and a US Army Veteran. Retired from Telecom. I live in Richmond VA. I do not own a Jaguar yet! I'm looking at E Types as I mentioned in my first post.
