Couple qustions about the jags before I buy :)
I'm looking at buying an S-type, but before I did, I wanted to get some background information on these cars.
I don't have a garage anymore, and no longer have the time to do my own work for the most part; so reliability is a pretty big issue.
What are the better Jaguar models to get into for reliability and what are the common problems?
Thanks!

Not because I have it, but all of the Jaguar technicians on the forum will agree. 2003+ S-type is the best bang for your buck! Extremely reliable car, and all of the problems with the S-type have by now been worked out. However, if the 2003+ is too much for your walet, get an 01 or 02 with the 3.0 engine. Much more reliable engine than the 4.0, and the only real problem with the car is the ball joints! I would steer away from the 2000 model.
If AWD is what floats your boat, then the X-type is a great car, but make sure you buy one from someone that has taken very good care of the car, and make sure you baby the car as well. The 2.5 X-type with the manual tranny is the best out there. Be careful with the fragile auto trannies here.
If you want more info, give us a price range you're trying to work with and we'll help you out a little better!
