Default Diagnostic plug in HELP

Hi guys and girls I'm new to the forum.

I have a 64 plate XF RSPORT. It has started throwing up random electronic issues. A garage wanted me to spend silly money just to plug in their diagnostic machine.

I live in Surrey area close to Hampshire does anyone have access to such a gadget or know of anyone that could help a fellow Jag out please. Many thanks Adam.

Welcome to the Forums.

I am a bit far away.

Random codes on ANY late model car (and I have no idea what a 64 plate means), is 98% the battery, as in tired, not holding a charge, etc etc.

Any more than 4 years old, very suspect.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Mays7,

My first thought would also be a partially discharged or failing battery.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xf-xfr-x250-44/ to the X250 forum for help, advice and information.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
