Wink DIY guy from So- Cal

Hey guys / team what up..

I just thought I would stop bye and introduce myself before I start posting up.

Basically I’m a single, well divorced dad (yeah the B..ch took me for everything) LOL with two great kids trying to save some $$.. I grow up wrenching on hotrods back in the late 70’s and early 80’s, but old school is all I know!.. These new cars are not user friendly as we all know..

Anyway I bit the bullet and I’m slowing working my way through replacing the timing chain, tensioners, water pump, thermostat, blaaa, blaa, blaa..

I’m looking forward to reading, learning and sharing experences with the team.

Here are some quick photo’s and what my new project looks like’s after about 8 hrs of work..

I really did try to catch most of the coolant.. That’s… well that’s just the overspray

Anyway thanks for your time team, I’ll be starting up a new thread on my project and all of the up’s and downs associated with it.

TDC..

tdc, welcome to the forums!!! As you stated "these cars are not user friendly" but with ALL the knowledge being collected and shared by us DIY'ers here at jaguarforums.com (especially with our like cars the S Types), the issues are definetly becoming less and less intimidating to resolve in our garages. Keep posting your procedures with pics and write ups and you will have added to the team! I will be looking for you in the S Type Section.

BTW I really dig those chrome wheels, very nice!
