Default Dutch guy with an old Jagggg

Hello all,

My name is Marco, 21 years old and the owner of a series 1 XJ6 thats more than twice my age. I bought the car in May this year and have barely driven it.

So, it all started when I was on Facebook and this car appears. It's advertised by a garage after it had been abandoned by the first Dutch owner (Imported from Italy in 2000) This car had been sitting in the parking lot for at least 3 months. Inbetween my final exams I went to view the car ASAP. It had a coolant leaking problem. (They lied and told me it was coming from the expansion tank)

After some negotiating we had a deal and I drove the car home for ~200 km. I took the head off which took me 3 full days to find out the leak was in the inletmanifold-gasket. But hey, I have a driving series 1 so who cares?

Some things about the car, it barely has rust, brand new custom made radiator, rear axle has been restored, it's one of the first XJ's ever made with chrome dials that look GREAT (24-05-1969), automatic 4.2, stainless steel exhaust, all in all I believe I had the greatest deal on a series 1 and I'm glad I bought the car even though the head could have been cracked, the paint is ugly, the interior is ruïned.. I love it.
