Default Eager 1st time Jaguar purchaser from NE

I desperately want myself a 2006/07 Jaguar S-Type....All black!! I was very hesitant after I did my research with this specific car, but these threads have really givin me more insight to my curiousities....i was afraid of the hi up-keep and maintenance costs with owning this car, but it doesn't sound too bad actually.....I think with the information from this site and my own due dilligence, a purchase within the next couple of weeks is inevitable!! Wish me luck!!

I too like the S-type. I have never driven one, but, if it's nearly as nice as my xk, you will love it. Hope you have at least a little mechanical ability as the dealer in Omaha is pretty proud of their parts and labor. I need a key made for my xk and they quoted me $200 +tax per key and $138 to program it. Maybe they will end up getting it, but for now, I'm still looking for a cheaper price.
Anyway, Jaguar is a very nice car and with depreciation have certainly become affordable. Just realize parts and labor at the dealer is still very expensive.
Good luck on your hunt. You will love the car.

I talked to one of the dealers yesterday after work and he said that he was the previous owner of the car for roughly two months, he said that he updated the car nicely before he purchased his Audi, and he reassured me that there would be absolutely no problems with the vehicle! I still want to throw in that extended warranty if that's possible, maybe it's too late, the S-Type is a 2007.....I'm going to look at it on my way back from Des Moines this weekend! I appreciate the feedback and I'll keep this thread posted with how my visit goes!! have a great weekend fellow Jag enthusiasts!!
