Ello...
Hey... I'm Shawn... I'm from PA...
Now, I don't own a Jaguar... I own several cars though...
I drive a Dodge Nitro, a couple f-350's ( one is for sale), and I've had many, many Nissan 240sx's...
But, I'm here because...
I was driving through town today and when I approached a stop sign, a Jaguar S-Type was turning right. I can honestly say, it really was the beautiful thing I have ever seen. It was a brilliant white... Tinted windows...
It was amazing...
Anyways... Ever since I saw the car, I can't get it out of my head... I'm really interested in one... The model I saw (I think) was a 2000-ish model year... Maybe?
I'm to young to afford new... So... Used would do for me... Hahaha...
Finally, there's my introduction...

RE: Ello...
I've been looking around...
I found a decent one with 80k miles for about $8,900 USD...
But, I don't know wtf I'm looking at... Hahaha...
I looked at an XJ8 last year... and it was beautiful as well... black on black...
They're so nice! hahaha
I failed to mention that I also drive a BMW 525i...

Pleased to make your acquaintance, I live in Columbus, Ohio now. I was curious about Great Britiains, as I rarely see their name come up and was interested to hear what kind of outfit it was. I had worked for their predecessor in Horsham many moons ago, with two techs who had come from Reedman. That's good Jag country you live in!

Hi Shawn,
Welcome to the site and good luck onyour search. I just got an S-Type myself and it is really nice. Quite a bit lighter and more responsive than the XJ6 I had, although a bit stiffer in the ride department. I liked it but my wifeI would recommend a certified S-Type or get an extended warranty just in case.

Hi Shawn,
Welcome aboard! I have to repeat carelm's post. If you can, take advantage and get a certified one. I say take advantage because clean s types still under warranty were hovering in the mid 20's for a while. They would drop in value as soon as the original warranty was up. Well, that all has changed. I picked mine up for under 20, certified. The same dealer currently has two '05 3.0 s types that have under 30k and are priced in the 18's. I'm a working class guy who never thought I could sanely pick up a car like this, but if you do your own wrenching, and buy the right one, they are quite affordable.
