Ex Bimmer here...
Swapped an M3 E46 for a 2000 XK8 vert.
Thought she was a steel liner one (Axxxxx VIN), but careful forum search showed me she was indeed a Nikasil engine. Crossing fingers.
My driving license was at risk with the M3, plus I loved Jag style.
Had two car fixations since my child days: 280 SL Pagoda, and Jag XK-E.
I guess my XK8 is the closest I'll be to an XK-E, from my point of view, the most beautiful car in history.
Regards,

After a summer, 3000 Kms., one revision, one central locking changed and one leaking thermostat housing, I have a wider grin on my face than I had last July.
The car runs fabulous, and the only thing I miss from the M3 is the iPhone integration. Dang aux-in (or lack of, to be precise). I don't want to get rid of the original looks, but after reading a lot in the forum, doesn't seem to exist any other way if I want good sound quality from iPhone (let alone control)...
