Default finally did it !

Have been promising myself to join this forum for around three years and finally done it. Been a Jag fan since my late teens (then living in the UK where I was born and grew up) and bought my first Jag which was a 1954 MK1 2.4 when I was 21. Since then owned a 2.4 MK2, a very early XJ6 4.2 which was probably the best car I have ever driven over the years.
Also owned an early eighties XJ6 4.2 which besides some rust was without issues, 1970 e-type 4.2 two plus two, 1971 e-type V12 which I restored 95% before selling. The next one was another e-type 4.2 two seat manual which again I restored about 95% before I sold that due to age and health issues.
When I acquired the last e-type the seller who I had known for many years (his company restores and services classic Jaguars) persuaded me that I also should own a 1964 right hand drive 3.4 MK2. This car I currently have. Requires much work which I have started doing (about five years ago) and still a long way from completion. Bad Chicago winters put car projects to the back of my priority list for many months due to not having a large workshop to work in.
One problem I have right now is that all the floor panels require replacing and all I have been able to obtain ( Martin Robey ) are small repair panels so looking to use panels from later models if they are available. Looking forward to using the forum and reading comments etc. and looking to see what items are for sale. yourolddude.

Thanks for the warm welcome Grant. And some folks still believe that all the taste an Aussi has is in beer! Another bonus for you is that the factory made some right hand drive models and shipped over there.
Look like you're not shy when it comes to owning jags. G'day new mate.
