Finally found my dream Car.

Finally found my dream Car.
Hello, I'm brand new here as of today! Finally got my dream after looking for a few months. I found this beauty in Sarasota. I believe it was a second home car as the carfax history showed several year periods where the car only went a thousand miles. It's a 1998 XK8 Saphire Blue with Ivory leather. Car has just 31,000 miles. I bought it and had it trucked to Miami and it was immediately taken in to have the seconday timing tensioners done. I felt I could not enjoy it till this work was performed after everything I had read. The originals were in very good condition but I had them switched to the 3rd generation metal ones. Good to be here.

Welcome to the forum ED,
The XK8 looks beautiful. It could be brand new out of the showroom.
Very sensible to get the tensioners done straightaway. With the climate in your part of the World, the thermostat would be another common issue to check.

Thank you all.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I guess my surprise so far is I can't find anything to do to the car other than treat the leather. One question though? My horn is rather unimpressive. I'm wondering if I have one out as it's just a rather boring one note tweet. I guess I expected a rather loud trumpet that would scare someone off the road.

My horn is wimpy too, I think I only have one working too.
