Default Finally got around to making an account!

Hello all! My name is Kailiar, i have been on and off this forum reading post for the last year or so and i finally did it and made an account. I will be asking many, many questions in the future due to my next build deemed "PROJECT HELLCAT" but thats another post entirely.

A little about myself, I'm a born and raised Florida native and currently reside in South Sarasota County. I'm an aerosol artist, musician of many instruments, song writer, Co-Owner of SlothGang (counter culture media group) and last but most certainly not least a driver and car enthusiast.

Now that all the boring stuff is out of the way, time for the jag!!
I'm the proud 2nd owner of a 1997 jaguar x300 xj6 deemed "PROJECT HELLCAT". I have owned this beautiful example of fine engineering for nearly 3 years now. I've done all maintenance and repairs to the car myself for the past 2 years, And have put over 65,000 miles on the car in the past 2 years (158,547 miles to date).

Now what is "PROJECT HELLCAT" you might ask? After doing extensive research on the x300, as well as seeing countless examples of the same builds in the entire car scene all around the world. I decided i wanted to be different, so i decided that i am going to build the quickest & fastest x300 in the world!! Yes you read that correctly, the quickest and fastest x300 in the world. Big claim to make right? Not for myself no its not. Why an x300? During all of my research the x300 both xj6's & xjr's alike seem to be nearly incognito to car culture and the major car scene itself. making it the perfect opportunity for myself to build something different, something nobody wants to build. Do i know how much time and money it will take to do so? Yes i do, i'm a patient person when it comes to perfection. And the money? Well its a jag so the money is already out the window Haha. And how do i plan on doing so? Without getting into detail i will be severely dropping the curb weight of the chassis and using a big turbo, e85 drinking monster of the AJ16 motor as the heart. What will it be built for? The better question is what isn't going to built to do? Road course racing, autocross, drifting, dragstrip days, roll racing and even the standing mile.

Now thats about it! If you have made it this far into my explosion of an intro than thank you and give yourself a nice pat on the back! I look forward to my time on this forum and the many, many discussions with you all!

Cheers

Welcome to the forum Kailiar,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the X300 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-lower-atlantic-nc-sc-fl-ga-66/
to find other members in your region.

Good luck with the project and enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello, Kailiar,
So you want to build a sleeper!
I may just have to wander over to the X300 section to check out your progress.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

It will kinda be a sleeper haha, i plan on carbon over fenders so i can run much wider wheels and tires as well as a big carbon front lip and rear wing. So besides those and the exhaust than it will be a sleeper!
