Finally got a Jag XF
So for my birthday my husband brought this little beauty home for me
A 2009 XF luxury, in a beautiful blue pearl color.
It's so pretty, it's almost perfect... almost.
I've got a problem with the electric drivers seat, it reclines and comes back up to a slight recline, which is fine for him but I need it to come to a full upright position. It just stops in the same place every time, the passenger seat moves fully in both directions. I'm stumped.
Where should I post a question for repair tips?

Welcome. Before you panic that something needs repaired, have you read through the owners manual about programming the seat positions into memory? It can memorize I think, three different seat positions and it sounds like it may just be going back to the setting #1 by default. I just bought a 2012 XF and am still getting familiar with it myself. My older XJ8 would actually program a seat position to each key fob so that for instance if you open it with your remote, it would move the seats to your setting, and if you husband opened it with his, it would move the seat for him. I haven't figured out that the 2012 will do that tho, seems I have to actually push one of the memory buttons on the door card to reposition the seat (nobody drives it but me anyway). You may just need to reprogram yours so that your preferred settings are in setting #1 and/or turn off the "auto" function so that the seat just stays put where you set it last. If you still can't get it to work for you, post your question per GGG's instructions above.

Welcome to the forum! You have a beautiful XF! Just a tip: in a hot climate like FL, a lot of the XF's suffer from leather shrinkage due to the heat. Keep a sunshade up to reduce the risk of this type of damage. I love the XF...it is a beautiful car. I could watch the A/C vents open and close all day!
Cheers,
Peter
