First Jag a 1997 XK8
Hi Everyone,
Just signed up today. I bought myself a really lovely blue/green XK8 on Saturday. It claims its blue on all the log books but appears to actually more green, any one any idea why that might be? It does look blue in sunlight, maybe thats it?
All well so far except 1 fault that I will raise in another more relevant thread, as I am fairly clueless when it comes to maintenance on cars.
I guess a bit about me, I'm Marc, 30 from S****horpe in North Lincolnshire. Car came from Manchester, but I think it has been living in Bradford. My first Jag, although my dad had about three when I was growing up.

Car itself has a full Jaguar service history. It had an issue with tensioners in an earlier life and has had that part fixed.
Actual car itself can be found here, presuming facebook works properly!

Welcome to the forum Marc,
Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.
The forum does have a profanity filter hence the **** in your home town.
I know you've already found the XK8/XKR tech forum so no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
For the exact colour of your car, post the three letter Paint and Trim codes from the Jaguar label on the passenger door pillar.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68// to find other members in this country.
Enjoy the forums.

Welcome to the forum. My guess it that your car is Antigua Blue, code JGZ, nice color and fairly rare in these parts. Nice that the tensioners are already done. The weakest parts I have found so far has been with the cooling system, Some of the plastic parts fail with age, thermostat tower, water pump, and of course all the various hoses. As soon as I replaced one part of the cooling system I found a leak somewhere else!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I should be familiar with filters on the internet, as its part of my job to block inappropriate content on websites and emails in schools. I guess its just a novelty to have it happen to me when I usually cause it to happen to other people!
I plan on having a mechanic have a proper look over my car as soon as possible to see if they can find any issues. He has one of these himself, so should know what to look for.

Welcome to the forum. My curiosity about what your town's name might be eventually led me to
