First Jag
Hello everyone,
I just picked up my very first Jag. It's a 2000 S-type 4.0. I 've been into the early Mercedes cars for several years and wanted to try something different. I've heard that the early S-Types are not the best of the bunch but I figured I'll use it as a learning tool just to see what happens. The car has 93K and appears to have been well cared for. Service records and car fax show no major repairs since new. She overheated 2 days after purchase and turned out to be a bad water pump, pully was not turning the impellers. Fixed for 75 bucks! Yes I do all my own wrenching. Otherwise she feels solid and has decent power. So far I like her but we'll see. I'm already learning by reading on this forum, thanks to all who give their advice here.
