I just realized that there was a welcome thread. I purchased a 2006 s-type R that was a trade at Mercedes - Greenway in Houston. The car replaces a BMW 530i that was the daughter's high school car and met its end at the hands of a Kia Sorrento. The car is mostly driven by the daughter when she's home from school, which is kind of infrequent, and about once a week by me.

I really like the throwback styling cues and could see acquiring a MkII or MkIII if the right car came along. The daughter likes the power and the 4-pot calipers and called it "fabulous" after the first time she drove it.

Other vehicles in the family include a Triumph Thruxton (mine), Lincoln Navigator (wife's), and an FX35 (my commuter).

I tend to do a lot of my own work and usually look to the forums for tech advice.

 

Welcome Gunslinger to the best Jaaag forum around. You've made a great start with your "new" STR..the gooroos in the S-Type section will be of great help if you need any...enjoy..

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
