First post - new X-Type wagon owner sharing some thoughts
Hello all, greetings from the state of Maine.
Just bought a 2005 wagon. Still giving it a thorough cleaning and trying to remove evidence of the previous owner's dog and kids.
The outside looks good but the interior was a pigpen.
I also had the wonderful experience of replacing bulbs in both front headlight areas. Wow, my hand is still missing some skin.
Some upcoming challenges.....
1) Locating the source of a deep hum in one of the wheels. Wheel bearing perhaps. Makes noise at all speeds.
2) Finding a recent Navigation disc - the car didn't come with one at all. I'm curious how that system will work.
3) Getting a second key, the car only came with one.
Well, off to buy some more Windex, vacuum cleaning bags, band-aids, degreaser, and an air-freshener.
Hope this forum has the same friendly, helpful folks that I've found on other car forums.
