Default First time Jag owner - '17 XE 35t awd v6 petrol

Sold my bmw this summer after I fell in love with the XE - particularly this model in BRG. I learned to wrench on the BMW and am definitely curious to learn about the XE and its engine (I understand it is called an AJ126 motor and see it is in a number of Jaguar/LR products).

Hard to find a lot of details about the engine though and am looking forward to learning about it.

A few pics attached. I did remove the air boxes already and rigged up a cone intake - the supercharger whine is much more pronounced now!

See here for some basic info about the AJ126: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a1...ers-redundant/
It shares many parts with the AJ133 V8.
Many people don't realise that it was only ever made as a supercharged engine and there is no such thing as a NA AJ126.
Yep, fitting different intakes and filters frees up quite a bit of SC whine as I discovered a few months ago when I had the Mina Gallery kit fitted to my F-Type.
For even more SC whine and much more power and torque you should consider getting a Velocity AP tune and lower/crank pulley, see here: https://www.velocityap.com

thanks for the article - I liked the quote about the engineers getting a headache with the extra weight!

what I would love to find are overviews on how the engine functions - there are a ton of hoses running in and out of the supercharger - what the heck am I looking at!!!

Get a copy of the AJ133 technical training PDF from my Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8y4iax9hm2...%20V8.pdf?dl=0
Yes it's for the V8 but other than the model and size of the supercharger (Eaton TVS R1320 vs Eaton TVS R1900) and a different SC bypass valve control (originally vacuum but now electric) and of course the reduced cylinder count and bore and stroke pretty much all the SC plumbing is exactly the same as the V6.
